Rental Box
Notify Me
This will notify anyone who clicks this that the rental, that it is open and ready to rent once the previous resident has left. You can then TP to the LM given in local chat and rent the unit.
Land Impact
This will tell you how many prims you are currently using. There is no longer a prim counter display on the rental unit. You must click this to see what your total prims count is. The prim counter counts every 6 hours. The owners do not have control over how long the prims counter reconfigure.
Tenants
This is where you will add or remove a partner or roommate. Please remember to use the SL legacy name when adding or removing. Also note that if you are adding someone, you will then need to contact Darksummerun or Tex Humby for a group tag for that person.
Pay
This works just like right clicking the rental object and click pay.
Notecard
This gives you the same notecard you are currently reading now. So if you have lost this rental information you can always retrieve it by clicking Notecard on the rental box.
Update Prims
This will calculate any prims you recently rezzed. This is another way to see the prim count you currently have. This prim report will show up in local chat.
Time Left
This gives you the exact time you have left remaining on your rental.
Won't Renew
Please click this once you have decided you will not longer be rental out your unit.
Group Invite
If you didn't click JOIN NOW, when you paid and accepted the rental unit, this will give ONLY the primary resident a group tag again. Any subtenants will have to receive a group invite from Darksummersun or Tex Humby.
Reminders
THIS IS IMPORTANT!
You will automatically receive reminders that you are due to pay rent. If you click this on your own, you will NOT receive any reminders and this could cause you to lapse in payment causing your rental unit to go into arrears and this will boot you from the parcel and set itself for rent again.
AGAIN, ALL rental untis are set to auto remind you that your rent is due. The only way you will not receive this reminder is if you choose not to receive it.
Everyone that will be living with you in your home, must be added to your rental box. Simple click on the box and you will get the following menu.
CLICK PARTNER,
then type in your partners name exactly as it appears in SL
Once they are added to the rental box, they will then automatically be a added as a Sub Administrator to your security orb, and door locks.
You can add 1 partner and up to 6 friends to the rental box, and remember; you will be held responsible for your invited friends behavior.
They must send an IM to Darksummersun or Tex Humby for an invite to the group to get a tag so they will be able to set home and rezz objects. Please remember that they must be ONLINE to receive the tag, if you request a tag and they are not online they probably will not get it.
SECURITY
All of our homes are equipped with what most experts acknowledge are the two best security system in all of SL. They are the Thomas Conover Land Security Orb, and the Casper Safe Security Orb.
Both Orb's have been pre-configured so there are no involved settings that you have to mess with. And because of that, it is very easy to use.
Both security orb's are also linked to the Casper-Let Rental-box, so you and any listed sub-tenants will automatically be added to the security system as a sub-administrator when you rent the house.
You will then be able to start and stop the system, add and remove friends , and ban individuals that you deem as a foe. All the other settings are preset and not accessible to you the renter.
Operating instructions for both Security Orb's are as follows.
To turn on either security orb you MUST have your group tag on. Your group tag is called MMH Resident and it will be found in your groups under Moai Moai Holdings.
THOMAS CONOVER LSO:
This security orb is a translucent black, and once you rent you will have access to this orb for your security.
Listed below is a step by step process on how you operate your home security system.
The warning time, range and ejection mode are pre-set for each security orb, so there is no need to worry about that.
Click your security orb and select Start.
There you will be presented with three options as follows.
NORMAL: (Recommended) Auto-kicks anyone not on access list. If someone enters your home, You will get an auto-popup with three options, ADD/KICK/TEMP Select the one you wish. If nothing is selected, the intruder will be kicked automatically.
PASSIVE: Only people specifically in the ban-list will be auto-kicked, but you still will get a auto-popup with ADD/KICK/TEMP options, Select the one you wish, but remember the intruder WILL NOT be kicked automatically unless he is on the ban-list.
SILENT: Runs as a passive visitor-tracker only. But it will silently auto-kick anyone in the ban-list.
If you need to add access to your home for friends, TP them and a pop up will come on your browser. Simply click add when they land.
If someone you do not know comes into your home, that same pop up will show and you can BAN them. This will only ban them from your home and not the land in this region. Only the owners or manager can do that. If you are being harassed please IM a owner or manger right way and we will ban them from the land.
Your security orb also has the option for hud use. To get a hud for your browser click the orb

then click get hud
This is just another way of showing who has come into your home and a easy one click button to ban.
CASPER SECURITY ORB:
Click your security orb and select Start.
There you will be presented with three options as follows.
ACCESS- This allows you to add guests or subadmins or ban people from your parcel.
CTRL PANEL-This takes you to the web page giving you an overview of your security orb.
ARM-This turns your security orb on.
ACCESS:
SubAdmins:
Yourself and all sub tenants listed in the rental box will be identified as sub-admins and will have control of the allowable functions on the orb.
Guest:
This option allows you to add a mostly permanent "whitelist" of allowed guests. Guest level does not come with menu access to the orb.
Banned:
This option allows you to add to a list of "never allowed" avatars. Anyone on the ban list will automatically be ejected/teleported home (provided they HAVE a home point set...)
When your orb is ARMED, you will get a pop up giving you the name of the person in your parcel and options to ALLOW, BAN or TEMPORARY.
ALLOW:
Gives that person availability to your home but will not give them access to the orb
BAN:
Will teleport anyone not on your list or you do not want in your home away from your parcel and will also ban them from your orb.
TEMPORARY:
This allows you to give them only temporary access to your home but not your orb an will clear them out once they leave your parcel.
MANUALLY ENTERING A GUEST
You also manually enter a residents name into the orb as well to do this

Click access
Click Guest
Click ADD then enter their legacy name NOT their user name.
If you want to remove them after simply click remove and enter their name again.
You may also clear you list by clicking clear or list all of your guests by clicking List. That information will appear in local chat
CTRL PANEL
This sends you to a web page giving you a view of your guests and owners as well as any subamins you have added.
LOCKDOWN MODE:
Lockdown mode is a 10 second warning instead of the normal 20 second warning. if the orb is placed in "Lockdown" it will automatically "stand down" when everyone on the access list has left the sim/region, and return to normal.
SECURITY FAQ:
Can I remove Tex Humby and Darksummersun from the security orbs?
NO: you can not as we are chief admins you will not be able to remove the owners.
I have someone that will not go away or is harassing me. How do I ban them from the SIM?
NO resident will have access to any sim rights or the ban list. If you have issues with someone or a neighbor IM Darksummersun. At that time it will either be deemed necessary to ban or send that person a IM. It will be at the management discretion to do so.
I have my own orb and I wish to deed it to group and use that?
We do not allow any other security orbs other then our own. To do so will interfere with other scripts running on the other orbs. If we see it the first time we will return it. If you do it again you will be ejected and banned.

CAM BLOCKING
All regions in the MMH community are set to use Cam Blocking.
Due to LL constraints on allowing landowners to parcel off high-rises like condos and apartments, cam block only works in the tower you are in. Residents in each tower has cam block from the outside and the other tower next to you, however all other residents can see and hear you in the same tower you are in. This is why we are not allowing local voice chat or local texting. Please adhere to the rules of only communicating directly in private chat with another person. Just to be clear this is the same in every condo or apartment in second life not just here at Marae Beach.
AUTO LOCKING DOORS
This is a new security feature that is being added to all the homes in the MMH community. It like the security orb, is connected to the Casper-Let Rental-Box, and is automatically activated when you rent your home. There is nothing you need to configure for yourself or your sub-tenants that are listed in the rental box.
To use the doors, simply walk towards the door and it will automatically open, and will automatically close as you walk away from the door after you have entered. If you are not the listed tenant or sub tenant, the door will not open, but will give you a prompt to knock on the door to notify the tenant that they are trying to enter.
The doors also have a menu that allows you to turn on and off the locks, to give or take away a key to AVI's of your choosing, and to ban AVI's if you desire to do so.
FURNITURE REZZERS
Furniture rezzers are provided for each room in the house. They are scenes for each room which has different furniture packages. The rezzers are located by doors on the walls. Each one will have the room name.

Pick a scene you like from the different options then leave that scene.
FAQ and Answers for Furniture Rezzers.
1. Can you take a few items but leave the rest?
NO. Each piece of furniture has a script in it that coordinates with the rezzer. To change anything in a scene, i would have to redo the entire scene. That is not an option so please do not ask the owners to take something away.
2. Can you remove the furniture?
NO, however each room as a clear scene in it. Clear the scene and you can put your own things in. Each home has a certain amount of prims for your own use. In addition, we have a bed rezzer so you can choose to have one of our beds or to clear the bed and put your own bed in with each scene.
3. My furniture disappears when I leave!!
That is correct as each rezzer is set to an AVI distance. If you leave your home or TP out for a short amount of time, the furniture will derez. It will then rez back when an avatar is near. So, when you return you will see your furniture rez.
4.. Can I have my furniture stay rezzed at all time?
NO, you can not as it saves on prims and reduces lag. There are no exceptions.
5. My furniture disappears when I sit on it after a few minutes.
IM Darksummersun to fix this. This may be caused by the proximety setting needing to be reset.
6. There are items that do not derez when I clear my scene.
That is because you did not click clear on the item itself to derez it. If you rez food on the table, dishes in the kitchen or blankets on the bed, remember to clear it from each piece before clearing your scene or walking away. It will cause the item to stay. This is fixed by IM Darksummersun to delete it. But remember to derez the items or they will not go away.
7. I did all the above on number 6 but i can still see it?
This has to do with lag and SL. Simply right click the object and it will disappear.
8. Who do I contact for any issues or questions about my furniture rezzers?
Darksummersun. Tex can not accesses the rezzers therefore will not be able to assist. Send Darksummerun a NC with your location, lot number and issue.
9. If you are in a beach hut, there will be only 6 scenes and no scene 6 for beds.
SIM CAST TV
The Easy YouTube TV is a simple, configurable TV that gives you fast and easy access to YouTube videos and playlists. No need to buy an expensive TV bogged down with tons of features and links you will never use. This TV will work on any land without having to enter cumbersome media properties. You will never have to deed this TV to your land to make it work. The TV displays its videos on the full screen through a rock solid encrypted server to make viewing of high quality videos safe and easy. Videos can be synchronized for all TV watchers.
How to Use:
----------
To turn the TV on, click anywhere on the TV frame. The power light will change to green. When the TV menu comes up, you can enter your YouTube URL, select a YouTube URL from the default playlist, use the YouTube standard media interface, or even call up a standard web browser. You can also set TV to Auto Play, Loop or change any of the options. URLs can be for a single YouTube video or a YouTube playlist.
You can view videos in three different ways:
1. Enter a YouTube URL directly. Just copy the YouTube URL from
your favorite browser and paste it into the pop-up box.
2. Notecard Play. Drop a playlist notecard on the TV with a list of videos.
Then select your video from the "Notecard play" menu.
3. Enter a YouTube URL into the description of the TV object.
Add as many playlist notecards to the TV as you want. You can use the menu to switch between any of the playlists added to the TV.
Helpful Hints:

You can choose "play all" from the playlist, and have the TV play all the videos on the notecard playlist.
YouTube often displays a panel of nine recommended videos at the end of your video playback. If you would like to view one of the recommended videos, click once on the video you want and press the [Space] bar on your keyboard to start it.
Two or more people can enjoy loading videos and watching the TV together. This is a great way to share an intimate time together with a friend or partner, or to operate the TV as a movie screen. First, load the proper video. Once everyone has their TV activated (i.e. they see the paused video screen), click on Auto Play in the menu. The video will start to play for everyone.
If any problems arise, use the refresh button (circular arrow) from the mini-browser menu at the top of the TV. Also try using the home button on the mini-browser. If all else fails, reset the TV from the options menu. These options will fix almost anything.
